OUR STORY
Boutique Pet Supplies SA Pty LTD was born as a small start-up during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.Karen Schwartz decided that the time had come to follow her passion after having been in the corporate sales world for over 25 years.Karen put pen-to-paper and devised a business plan around her true passion,to bring happiness to people and their pets and Boutique Pet Supplies SA was born in late 2021.
Boutique Pet Supplies SA has transformed from humble beginnings in a dining room, to a rapidly growing owner-run business that strives to empower and bring joy to people and their pets.Our mission has and will always be to source from across the globe, unique,and top quality pet products to distribute through our valued reseller network across South Africa. Our ever growing portfolio of products include Curli and , LickiMat
As the loving owner of two French Bulldogs Gizmo and Coco, (check out of Facebook Page) Karen believes that all the products we represent must have been tried and tested on our own animals first before we distribute them.
Boutique Pet Supplies established sole-distribution rights in South Africa for the Curli brand (from Switzerland) as their product range proved to be of exceptional quality. We realised that the Curli harnesses and leashes are both gorgeous and robust products when we used them on many an outing such as hiking trips, bush excursions and general walkies – that usually end up with frolicking in muddy water puddles. We found the harnesses and leashes durable, comfortable, and easy to clean. And nothing beats Gizmo and Coco’s doggie-smiles when the Curli Treat bag suddenly makes its appearance, even though the main objective is to train the adorable little rascals with it.
We chose the Australian brand LickiMat® as they offer a unique range of innovative products designed by Veterinarians for dogs and cats. The LickiMats are so versatile as they can be used for reducing pet anxiety, distraction during grooming and Vet visits, feeding, treats and diet control of pets.
